Ayurveda and its related practices and methodologies have existed for thousands of years. This traditional method of promoting good health and wellbeing encourages people to practice holistic methods to manage one's health and life. Ayurveda is an alternative methodology that has existed for centuries, but has been improved upon over this time to help support this ideology. Zayan Ayurveda uses traditional Ayurvedic medicine and methodologies to provide its patrons with alternative solutions for medical-related illnesses and ailments. Since 2014, Zayan Ayurveda has helped and continues to support thousands of people in their journey to improve their health and general wellbeing.
Dr. Mohammad Ruskan - M.D (A.M)
Our Founder
Director of Foreign Affairs CTMC (Ceylon Traditional Medical College). In 2014, Dr. Ruskan entered this profession. Since then, he has treated 1000s of patients and has taught over 100 students as well in the practices and methodologies of Ayurveda. In addition to his work with ayurvedic medicine, Dr. Ruskan has also used his platform for philanthropic and outreach programs. For example, since 2019, Zayan Ayurveda has done outreach programs for schoolchildren to support obtaining school supplies. Additionally, during the Covid-19 pandemic, donations of face masks, hand sanitizers, and other health supplies were made by Dr. Ruskan as well. All of the above outreach programs were done through Zayan Ayurveda’s sister organization, the Zayan Foundation. Initially, he became qualified in Traditional Ayurveda at the ITMI in Sri Lanka. In 2021, he completed his BMA Diploma in Psychology and Counselling. Then, in 2025, he received his Doctor of Medicine. Utilizing his medical qualifications to promote health and wellbeing, Dr. Ruskan continues to work on his and his organizations mission of practicing and promoting traditional ayurvedic medicine in Sri Lanka, and globally as well.
Dr. Kanchana Silva Wimaladharma
Legal Advisor
Dr. Kanchana Silva Wimaladharma is an accomplished legal professional, judicial officer, academic, and public administrator with extensive experience spanning law, counselling psychology, public administration, and institutional leadership.
A First Class Honours graduate of the Sri Lanka Law College and currently a Counsel of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka, Dr. Wimaladharma serves as Senior Judge of the Industrial Court of Sri Lanka and Member (Judge) of the Board of Maintenance for Elders.
His academic credentials include a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry from the University of Colombo, an MSc and MPhil in Integrated Water Resources Management from the Postgraduate Institute of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya, and both a Master's and PhD in Counselling Psychology from the University of Kelaniya. He also brings over two decades of professional experience as a Counselling Psychologist.
